Andrea & Jameson :: Wedding Preview |

Wednesday, September 30, 2009 | WEDDINGS

This past weekend we traveled to Lancaster, Pennsylvania for the wedding of Andrea and Jameson. There were so many unique and vintage touches to their wedding that made the day extra special and all the more enjoyable for us to photograph... we can't wait to show you more from their day. In the meantime, here is a quiet moment that the couple shared before the ceremony began.

This September Courtney and I celebrated our fifth year of marriage (time sure flies!). I've always had plans of heading to a remote island for our fifth anniversary... something secluded and relaxing, but as things sometimes work out, we decided to change plans and stay state-side for this anniversary... no complaints there though!!
After quite a bit of planning, we decided we would head out to San Diego as neither one of us had been there before and we've heard so many good things about it. Being able to use our American Express points to foot the bill at the US Grant seemed like the perfect place to do just that. We've actually heard quite a bit about this specific hotel as we've received a handful of inquiries to photograph weddings there... it's an incredibly gorgeous hotel and we'd highly recommend it! (The photo below is taken from their site... just wanted to give credit where it's due!)

We were only a block away from the Gaslamp District so it was perfect to be able to walk around and experience the nightlife, yet still be away from it all when it was time to turn in.

Courtney grabbed this shot of me parasailing off the coast of LaJolla... just kidding. We never actually "parasailed", but there were quite a few instructors showing everyone how it's done. It was great to be able to watch them and even hear how they actually sail through the air... cool stuff if you ask me.

We took in a ballgame at PetCo park (where the San Diego Padres play) and unfortunately they lost in the last inning. Oh well, there were fireworks after the game and it was just fun to hang out together for the night.

Needless to say, there weren't all that many seats filled for the game, but it was great to essentially have a whole row to ourselves!

We were able to meet up with my aunt and uncle for an afternoon and they took us over to the stunning Hotel del Coronado (which sits on an island off the coast of San Diego).

The rest of the trip we just relaxed and reflected on how incredible the past five years of marriage have been... it's such a blessing to be married to my best friend and experience trips like this together!

We are so incredibly honored to travel to Pennsylvania to photograph Lindsay and Matt's wedding this past August... it was absolutely incredible! Every detail was meticulously cared for and they even threw in a few extras for their guests (i.e. a cigar roller... from Cuba no less!). We've been incredibly blessed to photograph weddings where we seem to be "adopted" for the day by friends and family, and this wedding was no exception... we loved capturing all the moments of the day! Here are a few photos from their wedding day...
