For the next few days I'll be out of the office (due to "roughing it" in Puerto Rico) but I *should* have access to email & voicemail every now and then. I know that many of you are dealing with bitter cold and even snow in some parts of the US, but don't worry, I'll try and post up a few warm pics from the trip so that you can imagine you're on the trip with us!
PS. If anyone's ever been to Puerto Rico and knows of some great spots to check out, please leave a comment below!
Alright guys, so it's been a crazy week... several meetings, travel all over God's green earth, and even a lunch with some local photographers thrown in for good measure. Good times, and being busy is never a bad thing, right?
Tomorrow I'll be heading out for a "photo field trip" so that we can add to the walls in our home (why buy artwork when you can create it right?). If anyone's interested in tagging along, possibly grabbing lunch, and *maybe* even standing out in the rain for a bit (if it rains), give me a call or leave a comment below... that means you "blogstalkers"... I know you're out there (I hear about it all the time). :)
Also, I realize that it's bitter cold in most places, but it's currently raining here. So due to the rain, here's one of my favorite "rainy day" songs by Travis. Enjoy!
One aspect of photography that has been incredibly rewarding over the years has been meeting other photographers. I've been blessed to learn from, and second shoot with many colleagues throughout the country which has been invaluable to our business.
While searching Mike Colon's blog (another fellow photographer) i came across two friends who attended Mike and Bob Davis'Master Your Craft Tour. I met David Burke at the WPPI convention (a convention for wedding and portrait photographers) last year and have stayed in touch periodically. We had intended to meet up on my way back from Pennsylvania last week, yet unfortunately I had to cancel due to unexpected plans... next time buddy!
Another photographer friend of mine that happened to make Mike's blog is Jeremy Hess. I was blessed to meet up with Jeremy for lunch while in Pennsylvania, and hear all about the cool things he has planned. I came to know Jeremy in a round-about way as I'd heard all about him from other friends and family in PA, yet it wasn't until Jeremy shot my brother and sister-in-law's wedding last July, that we really came to know one another.
If you get a second, check out David and Jeremy's work... it's cool stuff! Wish I could've made it out to the workshop guys... I'll look forward to connecting next time I'm up your way!
