One thing that I've learned about being a photographer is that there are very few photos of myself with family, and that's because I'm usually the one taking the photos. I obviously place a great value on capturing moments within life, yet seem to overlook that when it comes to my own family. So, several months back I approached Courtney with the idea of having a session while she was still pregnant as opposed to when "little bear bryant" actually enters this world... long story short, she loved the idea but we wanted to make sure we got the right photographer to capture these moments for us. Enter our dear friend, and outright amazing photographer, Millie Holloman... she captured our "preggers"/maternity/bump session (whatever you want to call it) and we couldn't be happier! Check out a handful of shots below but definitely stop over to Millie's blog to see the remaining photos that she posted (she even hooked us up with a vespa for the shoot!!! How cool is that?!?).
Thanks Millie for capturing this phase of life for us!!
Well I've finally decided to poke my head out and say hello as I've been M.I.A. here the last several weeks. There has been so much taking place recently and I have so much to share, so thank you for your patience as I get caught up on the blog posts!
One of the major things that I've been focused on has been a cause entitled, "Help Portrait" (the brian-child of phenom photographer Jeremy Cowart). I understand that there are quite a few photographers that may follow this blog (and I'm truly flattered) and my challenge to you is to get involved in this cause as it's a great opportunity to do something outside of your own business and give to others through your God-given talents. I also know that the date is quickly approaching (yes, this coming weekend) and that may be an excuse for some of you to not get involved, but trust me... it's not too late. We can still use your help in more ways than you can imagine. Plus, think of it this way... you get the opportunity to meet other great photographers, designers, hobbyists, make-up artists, and many people within your local community. If you're interested, you may go to the main "Help Portrait" site, sign up (it's free), and find your local group. Hurry though, time's running out and you don't want to miss out on being a blessing to hundreds of people in your community!
Here's a great video that will give you a synopsis of what it's all about in case you didn't fully understand me. :)
