Charleston Engagement Session

Wednesday, May 1, 2013

I've been blessed to travel the world with my occupation, yet Charleston, SC, holds a place near and dear to my heart. If you've never had the opportunity to visit, I would highly recommend it! From southern "cookin" to the beach and friendly passers-by, there's so much to take in. It's the perfect location for an engagement session (and even a wedding) as there's a sense of romanticism that floats in the air. I can't quite place my finger as to why Charleston has this unique quality, but I'm not one to ask questions of a good thing.

Jennifer and Rollin were recently married (in Charlotte, NC), yet decided to have their engagement session in the great city of Charleston... I'm so glad they did.

What's your favorite place to visit? I'm anxious to find new destinations!

Caleb and Danielle :: Engagement

Monday, June 29, 2009

I realize that I am incredibly blessed to work with amazing couples all the time, and Caleb and Danielle are no exception... they are the kind of couple that, when all is said and done, leave you walking away wishing you could've had more time to hang out. Their excitement and for marriage and one another was a joy to capture on film... we cannot wait for their wedding this weekend! Here's a few photos from their session.

One thing that we encourage for engagement sessions is for couples to "make it their own", so being that Caleb happens to play professional soccer (as a defender, in case you wondered what position) for the Carolina Railhawks they decided to head out to UNC's practice field and kick around the ball for a while (oh, and pose for a few shots!).

We asked Danielle to try and get the ball away from Caleb, and well, I guess she kinda did! Haha!!

We moved inside to the field house where we happened to notice their shoes. I really wanted to do something a bit more fun with this shot, so I had them run and jump at me several times until we got the right shot. Check out their kicks... love 'em!

After a quick change of clothes we grabbed a bite to eat and then walked over to Cold Stone Creamery for dessert. Who thinks that we'd get some complimentary ice cream (or mint shake in my case) if I keep linking to them over and over??? Cold Stone Creamery

Just kidding... but just in case...

Caleb and Danielle, we had an absolute blast hanging out with you guys and look forward to your wedding.

Stacy + Timothy :: Engagement

Thursday, December 25, 2008

This past weekend I had the pleasure of capturing Stacy and Timothy's engagement session. The weather called for rain, but held off just long enough for us to shoot in a handful of locations downtown.

Stacy and Timothy are getting married this coming January in the quaint (and gorgeous) Fearrington Village (which was rated as one of the top resorts in North Carolina by Conde Nast Traveler)... and from all that I hear, it's going to be absolutely gorgeous!

My wife and I have the pleasure of knowing Stacy for some time now and we're absolutely thrilled that she's found Timothy... he's a tremendously great guy!! Congrats Stacy and Timothy. We're soooo excited for you guys!!

Here are a handful of photos from the engagement session...

Andrea + Jameson :: Engagement

Friday, November 21, 2008

I know you're all thinking that I fell off the earth, but I can assure you that's not the case. 'Tis the season for hectic schedules, orders, and photo sessions galore... oh yea, I almost forgot Thanksgiving and Christmas. Seriously though, I know that everyone's schedules are all over the place so don't think for a minute that I'm complaining... I just want you to know that I'm still alive (and no, I didn't catch anything while in Africa, but thanks for all the worried emails and calls!).

Speaking of Africa, I was able to shoot an engagement session for Andrea and Jameson right before I flew out. It was such a great time to get to know them as a couple and understand the nuances of their relationship. As with most every couple it took a few minutes for them to get used to a camera in their face, but they warmed up in no time at all! Andrea and Jameson are planning a killer wedding next September in Pennsylvania and we cannot wait!!!! From all we've heard of the planning it's going to be awesome!!

You may remember this shot from the preview of their session... it's quickly becoming one of my favorites.
